Q: Are your dogs King Shepherds / King Size German Shepherds?King Shepherds as a breed are not accepted by the American Kennel Club but can be registered elsewhere, we breed AKC registered German Shepherd Dogs. There are people that loosely use the term "King Shepherd" to apply to any oversized German Shepherd, and also use the terms "King German Shepherd" or "King Size German Shepherd". However, while some of our dogs may share distant relatives in the pedigrees, ours are not the same as the King Shepherd breed of dog.

An example of our dogs would be pictured above, Rayne, who has some Shiloh lines. Her height is almost 28" at the shoulder, with a weight of around 95-100 pounds. She is typical of what we breed for - health and intelligence with a sweet temperament. Aesthetically, a long coat and straighter back as well as having an impressive stature. Again, while our dogs may look very similar and be indirectly related, our dogs are NOT considered Shiloh Shepherds.
